Ministry to adults is as varied as there are generations at Elk River . Our goal of adult ministries is to help our church family get to know each other through various fellowship and outreach opportunities through out the year.
Ways to connect:
Blockbuster Friday Night – The title speaks for itself. From time to time we gather in the fellowship hall and watch a movie. What better way to spend a Friday Night! Bring some snacks and come hang out with us!
WVS Annual District Lay Retreat - A retreat hosted in Summersville, WV this weekend annual gathering is one that will fill you up spiritually and allow you some time to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Plus you get to catch up with some old friends from other Nazarene churches in the southern part of West Virginia. This retreat normally falls in July of each year.
Women Spiritual Trip - When the opportunity presents itself, our women participate in some type of spiritual trip to refresh and revive their hearts. One thing is for sure, if you travel with these ladies you will laugh, you will cry and you will come away with a refreshed spirit and new friends.
Ways to Make A Difference: Staying In Touch is very important for our guests, regardless if they are visiting from out of town or looking for a place to call home. In Touch is a new connection opportunity in our church. As you will soon see this ministry covers many different types of needs for our church. However different they may appear to be on the surface, underneath they all present our desire to make your visit and church home a place you can feel comfortable and proud of.
Traffic Ministry – This group assists our guests and attendees with parking on special events.
Usher Ministry - This group assists with the receipt of tithes and offerings as well as aiding our guests with special needs during their time with us.
Greeter Ministry – Our team of greeters are there when you first come in, working to make our guests and attendees welcome. They also are always aware of the event and can assist with questions. Prayer Ministry – A dedicated group meets every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. to pray for the church locally and around the world. We also provide a prayer chain for those special needs when the prayers of many are needed. |
